Full Description

Sahara Desert is a must visit place when travelling in Morocco! And you have to join the Sahara Desert Tours in order to spend a night in the desert and enjoy the true beauty of Sahara

Why choose a 3 Day Desert Tour? Because Merzouga is the best and largest desert in Morroco. And Erg Chebbi Dunes are located in Merzouge. If you want to visit the most stunning sand dunes (the beautiful golden sand sea photos on internet) in Morocco, you would need to plan at least three days to visit. And our 3 Days Fes To Marrakech Desert Tour is the best way to visit Sahara desert, and enjoy the camel ride with sunset views!

Day 1: Fes to Merzouga via Ifrane, Midelt and Atlas mountains.

After breakfast in your hotel, you will leave Fes travelling towards Ifran (a beautiful mountain village), referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco” and then on to Midelt. During this journey you’ll experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. Stopping at the Cedar forest – the largest in Morocco – where you may well see Barbary apes. After sometime within the forest, your journey continues to Midelt along the magnificent hills and mountains of the Atlas. After Midelt town, you will be travelling through the fascinating Tizi n’tichka pass and the Ziz Gorge, taking in views of the High Atlas plateau, you’ll notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city of Errachidia. Afterwards, you will travel along the luxuriant Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way to Erfoud and Rissani. Arrive at Merzouga in the afternoon where your camel ride, guided by an experienced camel man to explore within the golden sand sea of Merzouga. Dinner in the camp where you will spend the night.

Day 2: Merzouga to Dades via Todgha gorges and Tinghir.

You will wake up to take the sunrise picture and breakfast, then you’ll peacefully camel ride back to the village of Merzouga. You could enjoy the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes – changing with the light as the day progresses on the way. Meeting your driver then you’ll leave for Rissani, Tinghir, and Todra Gorges – the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. After lunch in the heart of the gorge, we’ll drive through the Dades Valley, where you’ll see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes”. Overnight accommodation will be in Tifawen dades hotel or Babiloon Dades hotel.

Day 3: Dades to Marrakech via  Ouarzazate Ait benhaddou Kasbah and high Atlas Mountains.

After your breakfast at the hotel, we will start the last day in our trip driving via the thousand kasbah route, the rose valley, a visit to Taourirt kasbah (the former residence of the Glaoui), lunch in Ouarzazate, the drive to Ait Benhaddou – an ancient Kasbah (fortified village) listed as UNESCO’s heritage site, and many famous movies were also filmed there. We did the 3 day trip from Fez to Marrakesh, including stay in the Sahara desert. An amazing experience! Riding the camels to the camp, sleep at a magical place, watch the sky full of stars and the sunset. Driving a lot during this 3 days but never get bored, passing a lot of beautiful places. The views will never get boring and our driver Mustafa told us a lot about the culture and the different places. He is such a nice and funny guy. Thank you Ibrahim
, for taking care of us! An amazing experience to never forget!
