Elafonisi Day Trip From Rethymno
Elafonisi Day Trip From Rethymno – It takes around 2 to 2.5 hour by bus to get to Elafonisi from Rethymno.
This tour takes you directly to the gorgeous pink beach – Elafonisi Beach, where you can spend a relaxing day on the beach and swim or snorkel in the crystal clear waters.
The guide will pick you up from Rethymno, and then you can relax and enjoy the amazing mountain views from the bus towards Elafonisi.
Elafonisi Island divided in two parts. The main beach is the most busiest, because there is a snack bar where you can buy drinks and sandwiches. You can also rent the sunbeds there.
Second option is to walk 15-20 min to the second part of Elafonisi. It is more quiet and ideal for snorkeling. Sometimes you can see the sea turtles Caretta-Caretta if you’re lucky.
The sand in Elafonisi is pinkish in many areas, taking its color from thousands of broken shells. Remember to bring a hat and sunscreen, because the sun is very strong there!
You shouldn’t miss visiting Elafonisi when you travel to Crete!
We recommend you to book in advance to avoid fully booked.

Elafonisi a bit busy (understandably, since it’s so famous), but there’s enough space to find your own spot and enjoy the beauty in this month. I liked having around four hours of free time there, it was just the right amount to relax, swim, grab a snack, and take plenty of photos.

it was such a great experience. The pickup service was super easy, no stress about driving long roads, which I really appreciated. And good price.

On the way back, we made a quick stop at a village, which was a nice little break to stretch our legs and see more of Crete outside the touristy spots. Overall, it was a well-organized and stress-free way to see one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Definitely worth it!
