You have the chance to enjoy a magical boat trip through the westernmost point of Crete and admire the crystal clear waters of Balos. Walk across the white sand shore and find yourself enjoying the sun in one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe!

Itinerary:

– Pick-up at around 7 am from Rethymno

– Bus drives 2 hr 2o mins to Elafonisi beach

– Stop 2 hour at Elafonisi, with its shallow water and fine white sand. Relax on the shore or explore your surroundings in one of the most beautiful, remote locations in Crete. Dip your feet in the turquoise lagoon or simply stroll along the shore fringed with pink coral sand

– 1 hour bus to Balos

– Once arriving in Balos, walk around 30 mins way down to the beach

– Spend 2 hours in Balos, you can swim in the crystal clear waters, walk across the golden sand beach or explore the nature around

– Get on the boat back to Kissamos

– Sail around 1 hour to Kissamos port

– Take the same bus back to Rethymno from Kissamos

– Back to Rethymno at 8:00pm – 8:45pm

This was an excellent day trip combining both popular beaches in Crete, I like Balos more, because it looks more untouched and the near by island is gorgeous too!
