This day trip includes the comfort of being picked up from Reykjavik from an expert driver guide in a minibus, which is a best choice for those who doesn’t want to drive all the way. You could take amazing landscape pictures from the Katla Ice Cave, Seljalandsfoss waterfall, and the Reynisfjara black sand beach. After arriving in Vík, you will hop on a super jeep, and go for a 40-minutes off road bumpy ride to the Katla Ice Cave! Your guide will share interesting stories about the Katla volcano (located underneath the Myrdalsjökull icecap) along the way. Simply enjoy the breathtaking views, you will feel like you are on the moon!

Then our guide will provide you with all the safety equipment before entering the ice cave. Katla Ice Cave has layers of ash from 1918 eruption well enclosed in the ice. Underneath the Mýrdalsjökull glacier waits the mighty volcano Katla, where both the glacier and the ice cave takes their name from.

After the ice cave tour, we will drive you back to Reykjavik.
