Combo Day Tour From Akureyri – Explore the Natural Wonders of Lake Myvatn (A lake formed 2300 years ago by a basaltic lava eruption), Nature Baths and the amazing Dettifoss waterfall all-in-one-day on this popular tour with a certified local guide.
We visit the famous Lake Myvatn area, discovering the popular destinations including the Myvatn Nature baths, a geothermal
lagoon with mineral rich water in the middle of lava fields, SkútustaðagÃgar, the psuedocrater area, with gorgeous views of the Lake Myvatn area, the Dimmuborgir lava formations also known as ‘The Dark Castle’, Game of thrones filming locations, the Mount Námafjall Namaskard area where you can see the bubbling Hverir Mud pools and Natural steam vents or fumaroles and also the Grjotagja rift and cave between the Eurasian and North-American tectonic plates.
This Combo Day Tour is special as we also travel to the stunning Dettifoss waterfall. It’s the most powerful waterfall in Europe and Selfoss waterfall in Vatnajokull National Park (conditions dependant).
